Summer Semester 2008 Graduation
Thursday, July 31, 2008 Graduation will be held at the Health and Physical Education Complex. All candidates for graduation must complete the following to become an official candidate for graduation from BPCC:
A candidate for graduation will not receive a degree until the above conditions are satisfied. Graduating students will take their finals during regularly scheduled examinations. Graduating students in lab classes should contact their instructors. Students with more than two finals in one day may request that an instructor allow them to take the final at another time. Students (including candidates for graduation) are not exempt from final examinations. BPCC conducts four graduation ceremonies each academic year. Summer graduation takes place on July 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Information on BPCC transcripts is the official certification that students have been awarded academic certificates and degrees from the institution (not diplomas or certificates). Important dates to remember:
Any questions concerning graduation status should be directed to the Executive Dean in the Office of Academic Planning, which is located in Building A, Room 204. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday and the telephone number is 318-678-6348. Graduation announcements/invitations may be ordered through the BPCC Bookstore. LCTCS - SUS Program Transfer Agreement: LCTCS graduate completing a program of study for the Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, Associate of Science, and/or Associate of General Studies with a cumulative grade point average of 2.000 on a 4.000 scale may enter Southern University and A&M College - Baton Rouge and/or Southern University - New Orleans as college juniors. This means LCTCS students' coursework will be taken by the receiving institution in total rather than on a course-by-course basis. However, upon transfer, the credentials of those LCTCS graduates that choose to pursue baccalaureate degrees in specialized programs, such as engineering or computer science, will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis to determine future/additional requirements for completion of the degree. Consult with an advisor/counselor on campus for a complete list of specialized programs and other requirements. Voter Registration Public Law 105-244: As part of the 1998 Higher Education Re-authorization Act, colleges are required to provide Louisiana mail voter registration application forms to all enrolled students. Forms are available at BPCC from the Office of Student Affairs, A-220. BPCC HOME | A TO Z INDEX | CONTACT US | HELP | LINKS Copyright © 2008 Bossier Parish Community College. All rights reserved.
