Objective:
The Associate of Arts in Music can serve as a terminal degree for those wishing to pursue the two-year degree, or it can be a formal recognition of the first two years of college work toward a four year degree in music.

CIS 105 - Student must take this course
or satisfy competency requirement. Additional Requirements for the Associate of Arts in Music Degree: Music Majors will perform a freshman (second semester) and sophomore (fourth semester) solo recital. Music Majors are expected to pass the Piano Proficiency at the end of their fourth semester of piano study (Class Piano I & II, and two semesters of applied piano.) Successful or unseccessful completion of this barrier exam will be noted in the student's file Music Majors are required to perform in student recitals each semester. This also includes the applied instruments for which they are enrolled other than their primary instrument. |
