Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the College audits financial aid programs as required by federal and state regulations. The College's financial aid programs are reviewed as part of the Annual Financial Report assessment. This audit is conducted by the Louisiana State Legislative Auditors in accordance with government auditing standards prescribed in OMB Circular A-133.
Federal financial aid is classified according to The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) title and number. Each CFDA program is assigned a separate account by the College. Bossier Parish Community College currently provides federal programs through the United States Department of Education. Audits performed on these accounts include verification of receipts and expenditures, as well as review of internal controls. The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is available for all auditable purposes. These areas are administered according to the federal financial assistance program.
Bossier Parish Community College responded to one significant finding by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor in the State of Louisiana's Single Audit Report for the year ended June 30, 2006. The management letter issued by the State Auditors further stated that no significant matters requiring recommendations to management concerning internal control, compliance, or operational efficiencies were noted.
