In its original Compliance audit narrative, Bossier Parish Community College stated that it is in compliance with Comprehensive Standard 3.14.1 because the name of its accreditor, its address, and phone number are published by the College. The Off-Site Committee felt that the College does not appropriately represent its accredited status with the Commission on Colleges in its college catalog. On June 11, 2007, the Director of Public Relations sent a Campus Memo to all College personnel citing the correct language to be used in all publications for the accreditation statement; therefore, the College has corrected the language of the accreditation statement in order to be in compliance with this comprehensive standard. This corrected statement is found in the online General Catalog, the online Student Handbook, and on the BPCC Web under About BPCC. By mid-August, the College expects to have the corrected accreditation statement in all newly printed documents. |
