Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) maintains the power to elect and evaluate the chief executive officer of Bossier Parish Community College, the Chancellor. The ultimate decision rests with the LCTCS System President.
The LCTCS Policy # 6.032-Policy on Search Committees in Hiring states, "All unclassified hiring decisions are subject to the approval of the LCTCS Board of Supervisors." A specific job description for the Chancellor is not a permanent posting on the LCTCS website, but it is housed in Human Resources at the System Office. The description is also located in the LCTCS Policy # 6.013- Chancellor's Evaluation Process.
According to the LCTCS Policy # 6.013- Chancellor's Evaluation Process, annual evaluations of the Chancellors are conducted by the President of LCTCS. The policy also states the general purposes for the Chancellor's yearly evaluation are as follows:
- Determine that the institution is well managed;
- Ensure that sound institutional goals are pursued within the mission of the institution and Board policy;
- Foster improved institutional performance;
- Assist the Chancellor in improving his/her performance;
- Provide a rational and equitable basis for personnel decisions; and
- Provide the System President with information, which reflects the complex functions, objectives, restrictions, and social, political and economic realities that confront today's College Chancellor.

The process and forms to be used in evaluating LCTCS Chancellors have been revised and are being reviewed by the System President and a committee consisting of Chancellors.
The College Chancellor has been evaluated for the past three years by the LCTCS President with copies of the completed evaluations located at the LCTCS System Office and in the College Chancellor's Office.
