Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the College has a chief executive officer (the Chancellor) who has the ultimate responsibility for the intercollegiate athletics program. According to the College Chancellor Job Description, the Chancellor "is responsible for all BPCC budgets that include the review and recommendation on the budgets of all divisions of the campus and capital outlay."

The Chancellor exercises appropriate fiscal control over the College's Athletic Department. First, the Chancellor reviews the yearly budget for the Athletic Department. Second, the fiscal activity of the Athletic Department is subject to the same fiscal requirements as all other departments at the College. Third, revenues to and expenditures from the Athletic Department are subject to internal audit.

As outlined in the College Organizational Chart, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs reports directly to the Chancellor. The Athletic Department is part of the Student Affairs Division, and, as such, the Athletic Director reports to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs as demonstrated in the Organizational Chart in the College Athletics Department General Procedures.

In addition to the Athletic Director, the Athletic Council and the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs are responsible for reviewing athletic admissions policies and making recommendations to the Chancellor per the College Athletics Department General Procedures -Section 18.4. The Athletic Council is a standing college committee (Sample College Committees List) and is comprised of faculty, staff and students who are appointed.
