Narrative:
Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the Louisiana
Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) board, BPCC's governing board, is free from political, religious,
or other external bodies, and it protects the college from such influence.
The following Louisiana Revised Statutes on Governmental Ethics address ethics for public servants, which includes Louisiana Community and Technical College Board Members:
The statutes outline codes regarding undue political influence in the areas of nepotism, financial disclosure, prohibited contractual agreements and other areas of possible conflict.
To protect the institutions of the LCTCS system from undue political influence from external bodies, the LCTCS board adopted LCTCS Policy # 6.019-Political Activity that clearly addresses engagement in political activity. Further, to ensure such protection, the LCTCS board publishes LCTCS Board Members' Profiles on the LCTCS website.
