Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the College's admissions policies are in accordance with the College's Mission Statement. General admission requirements for entrance to College programs, including admission in special statuses, have been established in accordance with the Louisiana Community & Technical College System Policy # 1.004. By Louisiana state policy, "All the institutions comprising the Louisiana Community and Technical College System have an open admission policy as established by the Louisiana State Legislature and approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents. Anyone with a high school diploma from a state approved high school or a GED (General Education Diploma) is eligible for admission. Students without a high school diploma or its equivalent are also eligible for admission upon demonstration of the ability to benefit in accordance with the institution's criteria." General Admission Requirements are published in the General Catalog 20. BPCC's admissions policies are also published in the College's Student Handbook 2 and under General Admissions Requirements on the College's website. Admission to the College, however, does not ensure admissions to any individual program or course or continued enrollment in the College. Specific academic programs may have additional requirements for admission.

The College has established an Academic Admissions and Appeals Committee 16 which reviews and evaluates admission policies and procedures.
