Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this comprehensive standard because the College does not award academic credit for course work taken on a non-credit basis. However, the College does provide means by which students may receive academic credit based on the following:

• Examination (see General Catalog 48-49) These examinations are of several types:
• Department Exams ("Challenge Exams")
• Certified Professional Secretary Examination found in the General Catalog 50
• Advanced Placement Program found in the General Catalog 51 administered by the College Board
• College Level Examination Program (CLEP) outlined in the General Catalog 49-50
• Defense Association for Non-Traditional Education Services (DANTES)
• Credit for formal military courses found in the General Catalog 50 in accordance with recommendations of the American Council on Education Military Guide
