In its original Compliance Audit narrative for Comprehensive Standard 3.5.2, Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) stated that the College publishes and defines its guideline which states students must earn at least twenty-five percent of the credit hours required for any degree through instruction offered by BPCC. In the General Catalog 56 under Graduation Requirements, it states that for degree completion, at least twenty-five percent of semester hours must be earned at Bossier Parish Community College. When a student applies for graduation, the twenty-five percent requirement is monitored for accuracy by the academic advisor, the appropriate division chair, and the Executive Dean of Instruction. The College has always ensured that twenty-five percent of the credits applicable to graduation requirements in the associate degree is earned at BPCC. To document this, the College has modified its graduation checklist to include signed verification of the twenty-five percent requirement. Academic folders for summer 2007 associate degree and certificate graduates containing the verified graduation checklist evidencing the twenty-five percent requirement will be on file for review by the On-Site Committee. |
