Reviewer's Comments

It is stated that library orientations are offered for students when requested by instructors, or sessions can be scheduled individually by interested students but there are no statistics presented as to how many presentations or library tours are provided. There are library liaisons appointed to each academic division and a website. The library has a 'need help' website page with reference assistance by phone or e-mail and online library tutorials. The On-Site Committee should seek evidence that library research instruction is being provided on a regular basis.

Response

Library orientations sessions are offered for students when requested by instructors. During the 2006-2007 academic year, the Library provided forty-four library orientations to 984 students. The Library offered workshops on subject area resources to faculty, staff, and students. In addition, the Library provided several workshops on library and database training to students needing additional instruction.
