Information requested from prospective students is mailed from the Recruiting Office at no charge to the prospective student. Information detailed in these publications is also available on Bossier Parish Community College's website. Online applications for admission and scholarship information, as well as other websites, provide answers to questions and information on numerous topics for prospective students.
Materials referenced above provide both print and online detailed information pertaining to their specific units. Each division/department highlights information about its program. The web address for each division/department is printed on all recruitment pieces.
The Public Relations Office edits and updates all College publications annually. All websites are updated at least once annually; however, updates are often required several times throughout the year.
Bossier Parish Community College participates in statewide College/Career Fairs organized by the Louisiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Recruiters travel the area to participate in these fairs to present and distribute information about the College. Recruiters also make individual visits to public and private schools to meet with counselors and students who have expressed interest in Bossier Parish Community College. The Recruiting Office also conducts campus tours daily by appointment or on a walk-in basis.
The Recruiting Office offers prospective high school seniors a day to visit Bossier Parish Community College at Senior Fling each spring. Senior Fling is designed to share information with students and introduce them to campus life at BPCC. All participants are given informational packets concerning Bossier Parish Community College at registration for the event.
Currently enrolled students are also given the opportunity to visit with four-year institutions twice a year (once in the fall; once in the spring) at College Transfer Day organized by the Recruiting Office. Four-year institutions are invited to visit the campus and distribute their information to students who are interested in transferring to a four-year institution to further their education after attending BPCC.
Bossier Parish Community College's recruitment materials, which are updated annually, reflect the policies and practices of the College. The Recruiting Office uses these materials to assist prospective students in making career/educational choices. In addition, the College website provides electronic versions of the publications.
