Narrative:

Bossier Parish Community College is in compliance with this federal requirement. The U.S. Department of Education re-authorized the College to participate in Title IV programs under a Program Participation Agreement signed on behalf of the Secretary of Education, acknowledging that the College is in good standing through September 30, 2009. U.S. Department Of Education Eligibility and Certification Approval Report is re-approved each year based on completion and approval of the Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP). The FISAP is filed annually with the U.S. Department of Education.

Bossier Parish Community College's annual State Legislative Audit Report demonstrates compliance with regulations. All required consumer information concerning federal aid is provided to students by the Financial Aid Office and can be found on the Financial Aid webpage.

The College meets all reporting requirements required by the U.S. Department of Education. Federal Pell Grant activity is reported online via the Common Origination and Disbursement System. Student eligibility is verified according to federal verification regulations. Satisfactory Academic Progress is monitored as regulations require.

The College administers student aid from federal, state, institutional, and private funding sources. The majority of financial aid awards are federal Title IV funds. The Financial Aid Office, a department within Student Affairs, administers the Title IV funding in accordance with regulations of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The Financial Aid Office is managed by the Director of Financial Aid, who is assisted by an Associate Director, an Assistant Director, and several clerical staff members as outlined in the Financial Aid Organizational Chart.

Additional documentation supporting compliance with Federal Requirement 4.7 is found in the following sources: Common Manual, Federal Student Aid Handbook, and The Blue Book.
