
Objective:
This program provides specialized classroom instruction and practical laboratory experiences in manufacturing processes. Graduates may work as millwrights in maintenance and production departments.
Specific Degree Information:
The degree program is a 61-semester hour curriculum emphasizing skills and knowledge essential for employment in the area of manufacturing. The degree prepares students to work as millwrights in maintenance and production in area industries. This concentration has been requested by area industries. The degree includes training in the areas of blueprint reading, electricity, AutoCAD, mechanical theory, machine shop, pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding. General education courses are also required. All the courses in this concentration are taught by Bossier Parish Community College instructors.
