Under the Division of Workforce and Economic Development, the ACT Center offers testing and certification services for a wide variety of careers.
The ACT Center is a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC). Distance education exam proctoring is provided for both paper/pencil testing and Computer-Based Testing (CBT).
Proctoring for professional licensure and certification exams is also provided for individuals and groups. Off campus proctoring services are available for groups.
A non-refundable fee is charged prior to all proctoring. Check or money order only. Contact the ACT Center for more information.

The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. Please see the BPCC Catalog and your advisor before registering for a CLEP Exam.
To register for a CLEP test, students should contact the ACT Center for more information or use the online registration form.

CLEP testing is available during the ACT Center’s normal hours of operation by appointment only with the exception of special dates during registration when CLEP testing is available without an appointment. These dates are included in the Academic Bulletin available prior to each new semester.

Notice: On July 1, 2008, the test fee for CLEP will go up to $70. The proctor fee will remain $15.
The DANTES Subject Standardized TestŪ or DSST The DSSTŪ Program is a nationally recognized testing program that gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional college classroom. Please see the BPCC Catalog and your advisor before registering for a DSST Exam.

Each class session is presented in full motion audio/video, with step by step demonstrations, lab exercises and testing modules to ensure a full understanding of the subject matter.
