Why is no one answering the phone?

Our office handles several hundred phone calls per day during peak times. We do our best to answer all of our calls. Unfortunately, we are not always able to answer every call during peak times. Please email us at admissions@bpcc.edu or come to the Admissions/Registrar’s Office, if the answer to your question cannot be found here.

Can I fax my missing documents to BPCC?

Yes, you may. However, it is best to either scan the documents and email them to admissions@bpcc.edu or send in the originals by mail or in person. Our fax number is 318-678-6390.

We will accept the following documents by fax or email:

  • Immunization Records
  • Selective Service Registration
  • GED Scores
  • ACT Scores
  • SAT Scores

How do I reset my CAVS PIN number?

Contact the Admissions/Registrar’s Office with your 5 digit FERPA Security Access Code at 318-678-6004, at admissions@bpcc.edu, or in person with a picture ID.

Do I need to take a placement test?

A placement test is not required, but highly recommended if you have not provided BPCC your ACT or SAT scores. You can find out the latest information about our testing schedule at www.bpcc.edu/academics/placementtesting.html.

I am having trouble registering for a course. How can I register for this course?

Please contact your academic advisor or the division office about the course you want to take to have them enroll you into the course. A list of our academic departments may be found at www.bpcc.edu/directory/departments.html.

What are the maximum hours I can take?

21 hours in the fall, spring, or summer

How can I calculate an estimated grade point average?

  1. Use the information on our CAVS Quick Reference GuidePDF File to login to CAVS
  2. Under Student Records click on Unofficial Transcript
  3. Make a note of your cumulative quality hours (QHRS) and your cumulative quality points (QPTS)
  4. Go to our GPA Calculator at www.bpcc.edu/admissions/gpacalculator.html
  5. Enter your cumulative quality hours (QHRS) and your cumulative quality points (QPTS)
  6. “Enter Quality Hours Currently Enrolled For”
  7. Click the “Calculate” button
  8. Continue steps 6 and 7 until the desired GPA is reached
