Chancellor Carleton creates Project MOMs, which assists low-income mothers with their educational goals.
Board of Regents approved the consolidation of associate degrees in Law Enforcement Technology and Corrections Science into a single Associate of Science in Criminal Justice. In addition, the Board approved the conversion of the Culinary Arts non-credit program to an academic certificate program. The Board also approved the new Medical Office Specialist Certificate. 2001
BPCC agrees to purchase 71 acres bordering Hwy. 80 and Interstate 20 for the new campus site. La. State Representative Billy Montgomery and BPCC Foundation Past President Helen Black support the move.
2002 Economic Development Division is formed to help train area workforce. Academic divisions developed 16 technical competency area programs to provide short-term training for entry-level positions in a variety of fields.

2003 Two new associate degrees were added: General Science and Web Development and Design. 2004
December: The entire college moved to its new $55,000,000 campus on Hwy. 80.
An associate degree in music was added.. 2005 Grand Opening and Dedication Ceremony of the new campus: February 1. 2006
The musical Grease is presented as the first production in the new Performing Arts Theatre.
