The primary mission of the Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) Athletic Department is to assist the student-athlete in achieving a total educational experience while competing at the intercollegiate level. This program provides equal athletic opportunity to all students and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, qualified disability, marital status, veteran’s status, or sexual orientation in admission to its programs, services, or activities, in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations. In addition, the BPCC Athletic Department is committed to complying with the stated guidelines of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the NJCAA’s belief in the equitable participation and treatment of men and women in intercollegiate athletics. In alignment with NJCAA’s standards, the BPCC Athletic Department believes no individual should be discriminated against on the basis of gender, institutionally or regionally or nationally in intercollegiate athletics.

The BPCC Athletic Department is committed to the academic and social success and well-being of its student-athletes. Academic progress of student-athletes is monitored, and tutoring is available. All student-athletes receive information on college policies including but not limited to the following:

At present, the BPCC Athletic program provides the following sports opportunities: men’s basketball, women’s intramural basketball, men’s baseball, and women’s softball. In addition to the sport opportunities, BPCC provides a women’s dance line and a co-ed cheerleading team.
