Project Lead Luke Dowden, Dean of Accelerated Learning, leaves BPCC to accept position with University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Lisa Wheeler, Budget Lead, is named Director of Institutional Research and Assessment, and assumes role of Project Lead.

Two year membership for the Survey of Entering Student Engagement, SENSE is obtained. The survey focuses on the importance of relationships among students, faculty, and staff and with institutions themselves.

Early Start, Education 099 and Academic Advising single sheet push cards are ordered. The push cards reflect the highlights of the programs.

Math anxiety push cards are ordered. The cards give more information on the Math Plus Lab, LAMP Math, Traditional Math and Computer-based Math.

Coach Rick Voorhees and Data Facilitator Sherri Huffman conduct first site visit at BPCC for 2009-2010 academic year. Intervention leads provide updates, success stories. Budget is reviewed and plans are made moving into final six months of grant period.

Coach Rick Voorhees and Data Facilitator Sherri Huffman conduct final site visit at BPCC for 2008-2009 academic year. This visit focuses on the developmental math intervention and The Learning Center.

Five BPCC 1st core team members participate in the Achieving the Dream Strategy Institute in San Francisco, CA including: Marjoree Harper, Nathalie Lamarand, Karen Moore, Staci Phillips, and Dr. Barbara Poole.

Chancellor Carleton and BPCC 1st host high school guidance counselors from five parishes including: Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, Red River, and Webster, in order to share the interventions in place to serve high school graduates, from those who are college ready to those who need the extra support to transition to the college environment and become successful college students.
