Payment Methods

Deferred Payment Plan

Initially, the student must be prepared to pay the following if selecting the deferred payment plan:

  • $20.00 deferred payment plan fee
  • 20% of tuition and fees

All students in good financial standing are eligible for this fee deferment program. Students who request this program will be charged a $20 non-refundable, non-deferrable fee for this service.

Payment Dates

Fall Semester 20% + $20 deferred payment plan fee when registering
  20% on or before September 1, 2008
  20% on or before October 1, 2008
  20% on or before November 1, 2008
  20% on or before December 1, 2008

(A $13 late payment charge may be assessed on all delinquent balances after the due date.)

Any outstanding balance on a student’s account including deferred fees will become due at the time the student requests to resign from the College. Students cannot resign from the College owing an outstanding balance.

Students who do not pay their fees may have their accounts assigned to a collection agency. Students are liable for all attorney and collection costs if forced collection is necessary to obtain any account balance.

NOTE: Payments are due on the stated dates. Online payment options are available at www.bpcc.edu. Payment deadlines falling on Saturday or Sunday or an official school holiday will be due the next business day.

Payment Methods

All students who register for classes at BPCC must make acceptable payment arrangements BEFORE being permanently registered in classes. (Refer to the General Catalog for a list of payment arrangements.)

The college continues to accept cash, personal and cashier's checks, and money orders at the Business Office in Building F, first floor.

Who can pay online?

  • Students who are registered for the fall 2008 semester
  • Students who do not have a bad debt hold on their account from a current or previous semester
  • Students wishing to pay by credit or debit card

How to pay online:

  1. Access CAVS at http://cavs.bpcc.eduWill open new browser window or tab
  2. Select - Login to Student Services
  3. Enter your 8 digit campus-wide ID number (ex.11122333) or your 9 digit SSN in the Student ID field (ex. 999999999)
  4. Enter your 6 digit PIN.
  5. Select Student Records, then select Term
  6. Select Payment Plan and Optional Services

    1. Choose the Deferred Payment Option if not paying tuition and fees in full.
    2. Choose the Parking Permit fee if you are parking on campus and have not paid a $30.00 fee for the current academic year (summer to spring).
  7. Select Student Records, then Account Summary and Payment Options
  8. Select Credit Card Payment*
  9. Print your receipt

*Select the SUBMIT button only ONE time. Transactions submitted twice will process a duplicate payment and an additional credit card processing fee. Any duplicate transactions are subject to payment in full of both payment amounts.

Additional charges, such as application fees, placement tests, or books, must be paid in person. If paying by check for the previously stated charges, the student should be prepared to pay each with a SEPARATE CHECK.

Returned Checks

The charge for each returned check is $25.00. If the check is written payable to BPCC by a student or on his behalf and it is returned to the College, that student will forfeit all future check writing privileges with BPCC. Payment by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card will be required.

Putting a stop payment on a check will not constitute an official resignation from the College.

Balance Due Notification

Students are informed of current due balances through Bossier Parish Community College’s electronic balance due notification system. Paper bills are not mailed. All tuition and fees are payable in U. S. dollars according to the established due dates. Students with an outstanding due balance are notified via their BPCC email address. Students are responsible for accessing their CAVS account to view their account balance and confirm payment due dates. The College holds students accountable for current due balances; therefore, students should check their CAVS account regularly.

  • Scroll down and select CAVSWill open new browser window or tab
  • Select Enter Student Services – Login using your campus wide identification number and date of birth.

Failure to receive an electronic billing notification does not excuse students from required payment on the specified due date.
