Admission Requirements

Admissions/Registrar’s Office

Application Fee
A fee of $15.00 must accompany all new applications. Each new student will receive a 2008-2009 catalog. Students must present their receipt at the Admissions/Registrar’s Office to pick up a catalog. Students pay fee at the Business Office. The one-time application fee submitted to BPCC is non-refundable, even though a student may not qualify for admission to the College or otherwise schedule classes. Fees are used to defray the cost of determining admissibility and scheduling.

Application and Transcript Deadline

Summer 2008: May 23, 2008

Application and transcript deadline for international students – March 7, 2008.

  • New students must complete an application and have it on file in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office by May 23, 2008. The student is responsible for having his/her high school and/or college transcripts(s) on file in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office by noon May 23, 2008.
  • Students who cannot meet admission requirements by noon May 23, 2008, may be provisionally admitted. Financial aid will not be awarded to a student who is missing official college academic transcripts.
  • Official transcripts sent to BPCC from other institutions become the property of BPCC and cannot be given to student.
  • Former students who were not enrolled in previous semester must complete a “readmission card” (available in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office) and have it on file by noon May 23, 2008. Students who submit their applications or readmission cards after noon May 23, 2008, are required to register during the late registration period.
  • Students wishing to change degree status must fill out the proper form in the Admissions/Registrar’s Office
  • Students are not officially accepted for admission until all admission requirements are satisfactorily completed.

Advance Registration on CAVS

Who can register in advance?

  • Students currently enrolled spring 2008 semester who have met all admissions criteria may advance register for summer 2008.
  • Students currently enrolled in the spring 2008 semester who have met all admissions criteria may advance register for fall 2008.
  • Students who are not indebted to the College as of April 7, 2008 – Summer 2008
  • Students who do not have registration holds from the previous semester as of April 7, 2008 – Summer 2008

Important Dates and Procedures for Advance Registration:

April 7, 2008 – May 2, 2008: Set up appointment and meet with advisor for summer semester.

  • Advisor name is listed on CAVS (Computer Access Verification System).
  • All students are strongly encouraged to see an advisor before registering for classes.
  • Graduating Students: Advising is required for students who will be graduating during the registration term.

Disclaimer: Students who elect to schedule classes without advisor input assume responsibility for ensuring classes scheduled will count toward their degree program.

Advance Registration Dates : Summer 2008 - April 7, 2008 – May 28, 2008

  • April 7, 2008 – June 2, 2008
    Students can pay online by accessing CAVS. All students registering must make payment of the current due balance within 24 hours of registering for classes. Payment options are making payment in full or selecting the payment plan for payment. Failure to make payment within 24 hours of registering for classes will result in student removal from all classes. Students receiving financial aid that have a current balance due must go to the Financial Aid Office within 24 hours of registering.
  • June 2, 2008 - Classes begin: Sessions A and B
    June 30, 2008 - Classes begin: Session C
