Faculty and staff from Bossier Parish Community College and Northwestern State University participated in a host of activities during the Spring 2007 semester and continue to participate in more workshops and training events in order to design the most “adult friendly” accelerated degree programs and student support systems possible.  These activities include workshops on:

• Accelerated Programs
• Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).  For more information, log onto www.cael.org.
• Course Design for Accelerated Programs

In addition to these workshops, some BPCC faculty will be involved in the intense work to design instruction and organize content in courses required for the accelerated program(s). Members from the Student Services and Computer Services staffs will be working to ensure the student services and technological infrastructures are in place to support students in the successful completion of their coursework.
