Candidates for Graduation

Fall Semester 2008 Graduation

Wednesday, December 17, 2008
9:30 a.m.

Graduation will be held at the Health and Physical Education Complex.

All candidates for graduation must complete the following to become an official candidate for graduation from BPCC:

  • Complete an application for graduation with the academic advisor the last semester enrolled. This must be done by October 3, 2008, for the fall 2008 graduation. Students who previously applied for graduation but who did not graduate must file another application the semester they plan to complete requirements. If a candidate for graduation is unable to contact the academic advisor, the candidate must contact the dean of the appropriate division.
  • Complete a cap and gown order form.
  • Graduating students must be currently enrolled at the College. (Any student who submits an application for graduation to the dean of the appropriate division or to the Office of the Executive Dean of Instruction is automatically enrolled in a graduation class.)
  • Pay a $50 graduation fee and satisfy all indebtedness to the college.
  • Complete "Candidate for Graduation" form.
  • Complete procedural and curricular requirements.

A candidate for graduation will not receive a degree until the above conditions are satisfied.

Graduating students will take final examinations December 2-8, 2008. Students (including candidates for graduation) are not exempt from final examinations. Students with more than two finals in one day may request that an instructor allow them to take the final at another time. Grades of all graduating students are due to the Registrar no later than December 9, 2008, for the fall 2008 semester.

BPCC conducts four graduation ceremonies each academic year. Fall graduation takes place on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. Information on BPCC transcripts is the official certification that students have been awarded academic certificates and degrees from the institution (not diplomas or certificates).
