Students must meet prerequisites before taking any given course.
Students must meet the general education competencies for the academic certificate.
BPCC's survey of the Shreveport/Bossier area confirms the need for computer drafters in the local job market. CADD operators need to have a broad understanding of engineering graphics, print reading and sketching, computer drafting fundamentals, advanced computer drafting operations and customizing skills. BPCC’s courses are designed to provide a strong foundation in these areas.
Students wishing to earn an associate degree in the field of Computer Drafting and Design can major in the Associate of General Studies (Non-prescriptive Course of Study) with the following approved electives:
