Admission Process for On Campus Degree Program

Once you have determined that the CJUS degree program is right for you, and you want to enroll in classes on campus, you can complete the online Application for Admission or visit BPCC’s Admissions-Registrar’s Office.

  1. Complete the Application for Admission online on LOLA by clicking Apply for Admission.
    • Helpful Tip: Be sure to identify that you are interested in the Criminal Justice Program. Remember to make note of the PIN you created, you will need this to view your files in the future.
  2. Complete and submit one of the Immunization Compliance Forms.
    • Helpful Tip: Louisiana law requires immunization against measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough (Pertussis), Meningococcal Disease, Haemophilus Influenza B (hib), Poliomyelitis, and tetanus-diphtheria for all first-time Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) students born after 1956.
  3. If you are a male born after 1960, register with the Selective Service System.
    • Helpful Tip: If you do not know your Selective Service number, you can verify your enrollment at the Selective Service web site.
  4. Request transcripts from any colleges attended previously, only if you want to use transfer credits. All transcripts must be submitted directly to BPCC.
    • Helpful Tip: To expedite the advising process fax unofficial copies of your transcripts to 318-678-6086. Attention: Dan Cain, CJUS Program Coordinator
  5. Take placement test(s) – tests are required for those who do not have the required ACT/SAT scores or those who are not bringing in transfer credits in English and Math.
  6. If you prefer, the Application for Admission can be mailed to:
