Bossier Parish Community College faculty members enjoy a tradition of excellent teaching and outstanding community service. In recognition of that, BPCC encourages its faculty to pursue promotion in rank.

The purpose of promotion in rank is to provide eligible faculty with academic rank as an acknowledgment for exceptional teaching and service to Bossier Parish Community College and the community. Established policies and procedures enable faculty to recommend for promotion their peers who have met the established criteria. All recommendations for promotions are the result of the selection process and specific guidelines contained in these documents, limitation on assignments of ranks, and within the funds allocated for promotion.
