Mendenhall Family Scholarship
BPCC Foundation Scholarship Committee is honored to represent the Mendenhall family and their desire to be of service to students seeking to enhance their lives through studies in the fields of science and/or technology.
In honor of the Mendenhall Family, the Foundation awards one scholarship each year in the amount of $1,000 to a full-time student (12 credit hours and up). In the event the committee seeks to provide multiple awards in a given year, two scholarships may be awarded in the amounts of $500 each. These scholarships are to be awarded to persons possessing the following merits:
Students majoring in Science or Technology
All applicants must possess minimum 2.000 GPA on high school or college work except when otherwise listed.
Students who are or will be enrolled in 12 credit hours (full-time) or minimum 6 credit hours (part time) at BPCC during time for which he/she is requesting assistance.
Students who demonstrate a special or unusual financial need as determined by the committee.
Students who possess talents that are desirable and which will lend credibility to the college and/or program for which they are enrolled.
Student must not be receiving any other type of financial assistance. Some exceptions apply. See criteria for all awards.
Procedures for applying for BPCC Foundation Academic Scholarships:
Applicant must submit an application,letter stating need, and transcript to the BPCC Foundation Office (building A, room 203).
Scholarship committee reviews applications.
Committee will notify applicant of award status via email address listed on application.
Foundation Office will notify Business Office of recipients as scholarships as awarded.
Application for scholarship does not guarantee an award. Students must maintain contact with Financial Aid office regarding fulfilling financial obligations.
Fall Semester: July 15
- Spring Semester: December 15
