Coach Louis Bonner is in his seventh year as the head coach at BPCC. While at BPCC his teams have compiled a 126-80 record, including two Louisiana Conference championships. This past season the Cavs finished with a record of 17-15 and were the Louisiana Conference Champions. The Cavaliers finished their season by making it to the semifinals of the Region XXIII tournament.
Coach Bonner has been recognized as both the Louisiana Conference Coach of the Year 2005-2006 and the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches (LABC) Coach of the Year. Bonner has coached numerous athletes that have gone on to have very successful careers at four year institutions.
Coach Bonner is a native of Scott, Arkansas. He spent one year as a graduate assistant at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Bonner earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Harding University in May 2000. During his basketball career at Harding, Coach Bonner played center for Coach Jeff Morgan and Tim Kirby. Prior to Harding, Coach Bonner played two years at Westark Community College in Fort Smith, Arkansas for Charles Ripley and Nick Lasker. During those two years, he was team leader, and he earned his Associate of Arts in General Studies.
Coach Bonner, his wife Rebecca, and daughter Brooklyn reside in Bossier City, LA.
