It is held every semester, and students need a "C" in English 101 to be in the class. It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30-1:45. Scholarships are possible, but applicants will need to fill out an application and write a timed essay proctored by the advisor. Scholarships will be determined based on the student's writing ability and work ethic. The student also needs to have a 2.0 grade point average and be a full time student. The class involves creation of a bi-annual literary magazine which represents literary and visual artists at BPCC, advertisement and distribution.
