Credits by Examination

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Service Supported Testing (DSST) are available at BPCC in the ACT Center, Building D Room 203, 318-678-6143. To obtain a list of CLEP and DSST exams and BPCC course equivalents, students should download the current Prior Learning Assessment Options Matrix. Academic guidance is available in the BPCC Academic Advising Center. The College Board charges $65 per CLEP exam, and the ACT Center charges a separate $15 proctor per exam. Registration fees can be paid by credit card, but proctor fees must be paid by check or money order payable to BPCC. Appointments are required by the ACT Center, and 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule and appointment.

Students pursuing academic certificates or associate degrees at BPCC are not allowed more than 21 hours CLEP/DSST credits towards graduation. For additional information see the Executive Dean of Instruction.
