What subjects are tutored?
English, math, and science are the main subject areas, but other subjects are tutored at certain times.
How much does it cost?
It’s FREE! No charge.
How do I print?
TLC does not have print capabilities at this time. You may save your work and print it in TRC. Floppy disks are sold for $1 for students.
How do I know who is a tutor?
Tutors wear gold badges. When you sign in upon entry, you will be directed to a tutor if you request tutoring.
Can an English tutor correct an essay paper for me?
English tutors can only give suggestions. You must correct your paper if you decide to act on the suggestions.
How do I log onto TLC computers?
User Name: first initial of first name, followed by last name, followed by last 3 digits of student ID (example: janderson123).
Password: your birth date in 6 digits (example: 031587)
How do I log onto PLATO?
User Name: first name (space) last name (capitalize the first letter of each name)
Password: last 4 digits of student ID
How long does a tutoring session last?
Although TLC does not have a time limit, we do ask that you be considerate of other students need for tutoring.
Can I get help using math computer programs?
Tutors can not help a student in Certify Mode. However, if you are in Practice Mode, you may write the problem down and receive help from a tutor at a table.
Why do I have to sign in?
Information you provide TLC is used for statistical purposes to track the number of students per area (Math, Science, and English) who use TLC services. |
