Mission:

The mission of the Learning Center (TLC) is to enhance academic skills and success by providing tutoring services. The Learning Center supports BPCC, other area colleges, and high school students in the pursuit of academic endeavors by providing high quality instructional support services via peer tutoring, computer assisted instruction, and hands-on learning models. All learners are encouraged to access and to fully utilize our services.

The Learning Center Services:

  • Peer Tutoring in all areas with an emphasis on English, Math, and Science.
  • Resources such as calculators and anatomy models.
  • Software available on all 43 computer stations to assist with mastering difficult topics and concepts.
  • Writing Support Services assists in fulfilling that mission by serving all writers in every stage of the writing process.

According to the "Graduation Exit Surveys-Spring 2010", 75% of BPCC's graduating students utilized The Learning Center
