The Workplace Literacy Program offers individuals the opportunity to develop and enhance basic skills needed for employment, promotion, or post-secondary education enrollment. The program consists of three areas: BPCC Middle College, English as a Second Language, and WorkKeys.

Individuals are also allowed the opportunity to earn a National Career Readiness Certificate from ACT®. This is a credential accepted by many area employers as a measure of basic skill levels when an applicant has limited education credentials.
The Act® National Career Readiness Certificate is a portable credential used to demonstrate individual work skills to employers.
