The Theatre Program in the Division of Communication and Performing Arts at BPCC is proud to have an articulation agreement with Northwestern State University (NSU) in the concentrations of Theatre Performance and Directing, Musical Theatre, and Stage Design/Technology .

The 2 + 2 program will allow students completing the first two years of study, earning an Associate of Arts in Performing Arts at BPCC, to transfer all credit hours as designated by the Memorandum of Understanding to NSU toward completion of the Bachelor of Science in Theatre at NSU. Students transferring to NSU may complete the last two years of their course work (including the required field placement) at NSU.

This partnership is mutually beneficial to both institutions for several reasons. Traditional and non-traditional students attending BPCC will have the opportunity after completing core requirements at BPCC to transfer to an accredited B.S. in Theatre program that will accept BPCC credits. NSU will have the opportunity to accept students into the Theatre Program who are well prepared with foundation course work.

Both the University and the College are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

This agreement outlines the classes from BPCC that will transfer to the NSU Bachelor of Science in Theatre degree program:
