Bossier Parish Community College, in collaboration with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, snipped the ribbon on its new Prometric Test Center today.
The addition of the Prometric Test Center significantly expands BPCC’s testing services to provide BPCC students and residents of our region with improved access to a much greater number of academic, professional, and corporate certifications.
BPCC is pleased to partner with Prometric, Inc. to open the full-service AP&C testing center, which is the only site in North Louisiana to offer these high-stakes testing services.
“We are pleased to bring this valuable service to the Ark-La-Tex to expand the job-related services we provide to employers, students, the higher education community, and the general public,” BPCC Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. said.
Prometric is a leading provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment solutions to many of the world’s most recognized licensing and certification organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies.
Denise Howze, Director of Global Test Center Recruitment, says the level of access and convenience BPCC provides candidates, coupled with BPCC’s mission to promote the attainment of educational goals within their community while strengthening their regional local economy, revealed ample partnership opportunities.
“Prometric strives to offer avenues for candidates to enhance their overall development and career goals via 7 million high-stakes exams administered annually. We pride ourselves on providing a secure, professional, and comfortable environment for those test takers—all of which Bossier Parish Community College offers,” Howze said. “After having worked closely with the Bossier Parish leadership, faculty, and staff to bring Prometric testing to their students and community, we are excited to have our candidates test at this location.”
The BPCC Prometric Test Center provides computerized testing services for professionals requiring licensing and certifications for academic institutions and government agencies through the Prometric Testing Company. Some of the exams offered include Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), CPA, FINRA, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Praxis, and the United States Medical Licensing Examination (STEP).
The BPCC Prometric Test Center is located on the BPCC campus (6220 East Texas Street, Bossier City) in Building D, Room 206.
