Savoir Faire is a literary/art magazine published each spring and features original art, poetry, short stories, essays, plays, and photographs submitted by students, almuni, faculty, and staff. All contributions are welcomed. Selections are made by a committee comprised of faculty, and staff. All students whose work appears in the magazine will be honored at a gala in the spring 2015 semester.
Savoir Faire won Honorable Mention for best cover design through the Associated Collegiate Press in 2011.
Names should appear on APPLICATION FORM ONLY, not on submissions.
Please also be sure to turn in by email a favorite picture (head shots are preferred) of yourself so that in the event your piece is chosen, we can feature you in our special introduction to our artists section.
LITERARY ENTRIES must be typed using 12-pt Times New Roman font and double spaced. Short stories should be between 1 and 4 pages. Written entries should be saved in either Word (doc) or rtf and submitted electronically (by email).
All ART ENTRIES should be submitted in person to John Wagoner in G107 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org as jpg files with 300 dpi. Probably the easiest way to properly transfer 2D artwork to an electronic format is by scanning the piece. Check out local print or sign shops for storing art electronically on disk or on jump drive.
Email all submissions to: email@example.com.
Alternative submission process: You may turn in a hard copy submission form in G129, as well as include your submission on a jump drive or CD.
