Savoir Faire Literary/Art Magazine

Savoir Faire is a literary and visual art magazine published each spring and features original art, photographs, poetry, short stories, essays, and plays submitted by BPCC students. All contributions are welcomed.

Selections are made by a committee comprised of faculty and staff. All students whose work appears in the magazine will be honored at an evening gala towards the end of the spring semester. One winner will be selected from each of the visual art and literary art categories. The selected winners will receive a prize package worth $150!

Savoir Faire has earned numerous accolades for its excellence. In 2025, the magazine received second and third place awards for Best Creative Nonfiction in the Southern Region from the Community College Humanities Association. It was also honored with first place and Best Overall Magazine in the 2019 Literary and Visual Arts Magazine Competition – All Regions, Small Colleges Division. Additional distinctions include second place in the 2017 Southern Region, Small Colleges Division, and first place in the 2016 Southern Region, Small Colleges Division.
