The Summer 2021 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Health and Physical Education Complex on BPCC’s campus.

We will begin the ceremony promptly at 10:00 a.m. Graduates, please arrive in the gym by 9:00 a.m. Upon arrival, you will be directed to the graduate table to check-in, then a BPCC staff member will guide you to your place in the graduate line.

Students graduating with honors will be given an honors cord to be worn at the commencement ceremony. The honors cord is being distributed by the advisor of the student honors organization (Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta, etc.). If you are a veteran, Susan Stakes, Veteran Services Program Manager, will be at a check-in table and will have a special honor cord for you.

If you or any of your guests need special accommodations, please contact the Academic Affairs office at 318-678-6331 at least one week before the ceremony so the College can ensure those accommodations are met.

The attire for graduation will be the traditional black cap and gown and black tassel. Graduates planning on attending the ceremony must pick up their cap, gown and tassel in the College Bookstore. Cost is approximately $50 for cap, gown and tassel.

For students who fulfill all graduation requirements, BPCC will award certificates, technical diplomas, and degrees on the published graduation date. Documentation of an earned credential is reflected on your College transcript, which is the official certification that students have been awarded the credential from the institution.
