Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is proud to announce a historic year of scholarship support for its students, marking several major milestones that underscore the College’s commitment to access, affordability, and student success. BPCC awarded over $120,000 in scholarships for Spring 2026, a figure that reflects both the generosity of community partners and the growing momentum behind student support initiatives.
When added to the awards distributed in Fall 2025, BPCC has distributed over $245,000 in scholarships during the Fall and Spring semesters of FY26. An additional $7,500 in Summer 2026 scholarships, to be awarded at the end of May, will bring the year’s total to more than $250,000, a remarkable benchmark for the College and an inspiring indicator of Board and community commitment to higher education.
“These numbers represent more than financial support,” said Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. “They represent opportunity, persistence, and the belief that every student deserves the chance to succeed. Crossing the quarter million mark in a single fiscal year is a milestone worth celebrating.”
This year’s achievements also build on long-term progress and retention. Since Fall 2018, BPCC has awarded an impressive $1,152,100 in scholarships, reflecting sustained growth in donor engagement and student support initiatives. In addition, the College boasts an incredible 95% retention rate for students receiving a BPCC Foundation scholarship. Not only have these investments contributed to strong student retention and completion outcomes, they also reinforce BPCC’s role as a leading institution for accessible, high-quality education in Northwest Louisiana.
As BPCC continues to expand scholarship opportunities, the College remains committed to removing financial barriers and empowering students to reach their academic and career goals.
