NATCHITOCHES, La. — Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) will host BPCCFEST, a community-centered event designed to showcase the college’s programs, services, and student experience while strengthening connections across the region. The event will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 2pm to 4pm at the BPCC Natchitoches Campus, located at 6587 Highway 1 Bypass.
BPCCFEST will bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members in an engaging environment that highlights the college’s academic and workforce offerings. The event will also serve as a platform to introduce campus leadership and reaffirm BPCC’s Caring Campus Commitment—an initiative focused on fostering a welcoming, supportive, and student-centered experience.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore academic and workforce programs, engage with faculty and staff, and connect directly with local industry partners. Event activities will include food trucks, free health screenings, and open services at the Cosmetology Salon. Guests can also learn more about BPCC’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program, experience virtual reality demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities across multiple disciplines. Giveaways and on-site enrollment opportunities for summer programming will also be available.
“Under the new leadership of the campus alongside Cynthia Johnson, we look to partner with our colleagues and the community as this is an opportunity to show that BPCC is here to serve the citizens of Natchitoches and to make them aware that they belong at BPCC,” said Quentin Calhoun, Dean of Business and Information Technology at BPCC. “Students will feel connected through student life events, be prepared for the workforce through our Nursing and Allied Health programs, HVAC, welding, cosmetology, and fiber offerings, and have the opportunity to connect with industry partners to obtain jobs.”
Cynthia Johnson added, “We encourage high schools, parents, and the entire community to come out and support this event. BPCCFEST is an opportunity to engage, learn, and take the next step toward your future, with resources available to help you enroll and succeed.”
BPCCFEST reflects the college’s ongoing mission to provide access, innovation, and workforce-driven education while strengthening its role as a vital partner in the community.
