BPCC’s Business Administration Program to host Small Business Expo on Saturday

The Business Administration Program at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) will host a Small Business Expo, sponsored by Grow with Google, on Saturday, April 25, at 10am in Building F, Room 203 on the College’s Bossier Campus.

The community-focused event is designed to connect local businesses with the public while providing insight into entrepreneurship, career pathways and educational opportunities. BPCC is partnering with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., whose members will be present to highlight businesses they own and operate. The organization will also offer presentations on internet basics and digital learning, equipping attendees with practical tools for navigating today’s digital landscape.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with local small business owners and professionals, explore career pathways in business and technology, and receive assistance with on-site enrollment for summer courses. Participants may also join a free Google AI Essentials course, which introduces foundational concepts in artificial intelligence and its real-world applications.

Faculty from BPCC’s Business and Information Technology division will be available to discuss associate degree and certificate programs, including accounting, business management, customer service, human resource management, small business entrepreneurship, money and banking, retail management, culinary arts, business analytics and healthcare management. These programs are designed to align with industry-based certifications, equipping students with practical skills that translate directly into today’s workforce.

High school students are encouraged to attend to learn more about dual enrollment opportunities, which allow them to earn college credit while still in high school. Scholarship information will also be available for prospective and current students.
