BPCC Natchitoches Expands Summer Course Offerings to Serve Community and Students

NATCHITOCHES — Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is expanding its summer course offerings at the Natchitoches Campus to better serve students and the greater Natchitoches community, according to Quentin Calhoun, Campus Administrator of the BPCC Natchitoches Campus.

This summer, BPCC will offer a wide range of in-person courses and programs focused on career readiness, skill development, and academic progress. Programs available include Business Administration, Cosmetology, Computer Technology courses, mathematics, entry-level culinary training, welding, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) courses, with select programs also offered at BPCC’s Sabine Valley campus in Many.

“These expanded offerings reflect BPCC’s continued commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education that leads directly to opportunity,” Calhoun said. “Our goal is to ensure students and community members have clear pathways to credentials and careers that support a livable wage.”

The announcement follows the success of a recent BPCCFest event, where the college welcomed students and community members to learn more about academic programs, student support services, and community partnerships. The event highlighted BPCC’s Caring Campus initiative, which focuses on creating a supportive, student-centered environment while connecting learners with critical resources.

“BPCCFest was a tremendous success and a powerful example of how we are committed to the Natchitoches community through our Caring Campus initiative,” Calhoun said. “We were proud to connect students with resources and programs that help prepare them not just to earn a credential, but to earn a livable wage and build a sustainable future.”

Building on that momentum, the College will host BPCCFest on May 12th from 1pm to 3pm at the Sabine Valley Campus, located at 1255 Fisher Road, giving prospective students and community members another opportunity to explore academic programs, meet faculty and staff, and learn more about enrollment and student support services.

BPCC encourages anyone interested in advancing their education, learning a new skill, or preparing for a new career to attend the upcoming event and take advantage of the expanded summer offerings.
