Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC), in partnership with Amazon Career Choice, proudly recognizes nine Amazon employees who have successfully completed BPCC’s Industrial Technician Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) program, earning multiple nationally recognized, industry-aligned credentials while working full-time.
The Amazon Career Choice program supports employees in gaining in-demand skills through education and training, and this cohort exemplifies the program’s impact on workforce advancement. Through a rigorous, hands-on curriculum designed for today’s industrial and manufacturing environments, graduates developed technical competencies directly applicable to modern automation and logistics settings.
The following students were recognized on April 29th for earning their credentials:

- Abecee Smith
- Kestiny Hopkins
- Thomas Blacklock
- Justin Marshall
- Thomas Hutchins
- Camden Raymond
- Kitty Montiel
- Angie Magee
In addition to completing the Industrial Technician CTC, students earned Electronics I certification through YouScience and multiple certifications through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), including:
- Fundamentals of Fluid Power – Pneumatics
- Fundamentals of Mechanical Systems
- Fundamentals of Electricity – AC and DC
- Multimeter Usage
Instruction was led by Master Instructor Mark Harner and Instructor Dan Hershberger, who guided students through applied technical training aligned with industry standards and employer expectations.
“These students demonstrated exceptional commitment and perseverance,” said Mark Harner. “Balancing a demanding, full-time role on the job while mastering complex electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems is no small feat.”
Dan Hershberger added, “The coursework closely mirrored the technology students encounter in the workplace, creating a meaningful and engaging learning experience that translated directly to job-ready skills.”
