Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is proud to announce the recipients of scholarships funded through a generous donation from Expand Energy through the BPCC Foundation. This year, nine students pursuing degrees in Industrial Engineering Technology, Advanced Welding and Oil & Gas Technology were selected to receive scholarships supporting their educational and career goals.
The scholarship recipients are Jake Adger, Rex Appacrombie, Clayton Collins, Jaylen Graham, Jacob Grant, Joshua Hamilton, Latasha Qualls, Thomas Robinson and Jermaine Thomas.
“Expand Energy’s long-standing partnership with BPCC is a powerful example of what happens when industry invests directly in the talent pipeline,” said Joseph Brownlee, Executive Dean of Industry Partnerships. “These scholarships do more than support students financially. They connect classroom learning to real career opportunities and help ensure Northwest Louisiana has the skilled, prepared workforce needed to support the continued growth of our energy and industrial sectors.”
Scholarships are awarded to full-time students in amounts up to $2,000 and to part-time students in amounts up to $500.
Expand Energy’s support extends beyond scholarships. The company provides paid internships for BPCC students, serves on advisory boards, and actively participates in Employer Night and other campus events. These efforts help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, preparing students to enter the workforce with confidence and experience.
The scholarship recipients exemplify BPCC and Expand Energy’s shared mission to expand educational access, foster technical excellence, and prepare graduates for rewarding careers in STEM and energy-related industries.
