In addition to offering associate degrees, certificates, and diplomas, BPCC affords everyone opportunities for earning industry-based credentials in many fields of study to yield immediate employment options. By offering both courses and programs that transfer to four-year institutions, BPCC affords everyone opportunities for earning credits and credentials that may lead to completion of a four-year degree. Academic life at BPCC supports the mission of the College to provide academic resources and pathways for achieving educational goals and strengthening our regional economy.

The Office of Academic Affairs provides administrative support for four academic divisions, including Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; Business and Information Technology; Nursing and Allied Health; and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; and two academic support divisions, including Educational Technology and Learning Resources.

With a commitment to BPCC’s mission of helping students achieve educational goals and strengthening the regional economy, the Office of Academic Affairs coordinates efforts such as placement testing, commencement ceremonies, accreditation, and articulation agreements while individual academic divisions have responsibilities for oversight of associate degree, certificate, and diploma programs and course scheduling. Academic support divisions within the Office of Academic Affairs offer services for assisting online, dual enrollment, and veteran students as well as provide learning resources for supporting classroom instruction. With an ever-changing local economy and population, the Office of Academic Affairs is a dynamic team that constantly strives to meet the needs of business and industry by developing new programs and resources to help our students and our community succeed.
