How Does it work?
  • Degree Earned: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Concentration PLUS FAME Advanced Manufacturing Technician Certificate. Many other relevant industry-based certifications are earned during the program
  • Program Term: Five consecutive semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring)
  • Schedule: Classes are held at BPCC’s Bossier City campus two days per week (16 hours); On-location training at sponsor company job site three days per week (at least 24 hours)
  • Pay: AMT students earn a competitive wage for the hours worked for their sponsor company.
  • Tuition: AMT student is responsible for BPCC tuition. Financial aid opportunities are available.
  • Transportation: Each student must have access to reliable transportation to the college and job site.

Dates for the NWLA FAME Open House and the application deadline for the 2027 class will be announced in September. Selection for the incoming class typically takes place throughout Fall and early Spring semesters each year.
