BPCC art instructors incorporate knowledge of the discipline and personal artistic experience in traditional and contemporary art courses. Classes are offered on campus and via online instruction. A variety of visual platforms and new technology is incorporated into the classroom environment so that students can access up-to-the-minute developments within the field. When possible, instructors schedule field trips to expand on classroom learning in a way that makes a connection to the local arts community.
The art courses offered at BPCC include an introductory course, historical surveys, and the following studio courses:
- ART 101: 2-D Design
- ART 103: Drawing I
- ART 104: Drawing II
- ART 203: Painting I
- ART 204: Painting II
- ART 228: Bridging Digital and Traditional Fine Art Techniques
- ART 246: Ceramics I
