BPCC is open and online! While our campus remains closed to students and the public in compliance with the Governor’s Stay-at-Home order, online instruction will enter its second week on Monday, March 30 and all student support services and business functions continue to operate remotely.
Though we’ve decided to postpone our Spring commencement ceremony, we look forward, as soon as it is safe to do so, to celebrating with the students and the families of the graduating class of 2020. The work our faculty and students are doing now to stay on track and graduate will be cause for a huge celebration.
We have several reasons to be #BPCCproud as many of our graduates and faculty are on the front lines of this historic battle. Our College has donated a considerable amount of Personal Protective Equipment to the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and some of our faculty members are engaged in 3D printing parts to provide face shields for healthcare professionals in our region.
I continue to be proud and grateful for the commitment of BPCC faculty and staff and my thoughts are with our students who are juggling studies online with home responsibilities that are more demanding than they’ve ever been. Thank you for your flexibility, understanding, and compassion with one another during this unprecedented time.
Please reach out to and thank a healthcare worker, first responder, or Guardsman for the heroic work they are doing on the front lines to keep us safe from this virus.
During this time:
- The campus will only be open to essential personnel.
- Continue to browse the College’s website regularly; it continues to be the best single source for all BPCC-related COVID-19 updates.
