Admissions Requirements

The following list of requirements must be met in order to participate in BPCC’s High School Dual Enrollment Program:

  • Must have permission from the high school. The High School counselor or principal must sign the Bossier Parish Community College Dual Enrollment Signature SheetPDF File.Applications are available for students to pick up from their high school counselor.
  • Must have an Approved Louisiana Department of Education Home Study Program Application if the student is Homeschooled.
  • Must have student, parent, and counselor (or designee) signature on the Bossier Parish Community College Dual Enrollment Paper Application.
  • Must provide an ACTWill open new browser window or tab or PLAN score report, a current official high school transcript, and Selective Service formWill open new browser window or tab (if age 18) before students will be allowed to register.
  • If attending classes ON the BPCC campus, student must provide a copy of immunization records or waiverWill open new browser window or tab and selective service form (if age 18), and meet all College admission/registration requirements and procedures including the College Code of Student Conduct.
  • Student must have an ACT or PLAN math subscore of 19 to take MATH 102 and an ACT or PLAN English subscore of 18 to take ENGLISH 101.
  • Students must meet all other course prerequisites as published in the BPCC catalog.
  • Required GPA of 2.5
  • 9th and 10th graders may only take one (1) course their first semester as a dual enrollment student.
  • Bossier Parish Students may not take a Dual Enrollment course until the Spring semester of their sophomore year.

**Graduating Seniors must request their transcripts from the Admissions Office at BPCC at the end of the school year**


Eligibility Criteria

College-level academic courses, developmental courses, and career and technical education courses each have different eligibility criteria outlined below:

Works Skills courses may be taken by a student who is 15 years old or older, is a sophomore, and who is determined as “in good standing”  by the high school official. High School Senior
