Once I submit my Application for Graduation, how I will receive information regarding my graduation status?

All correspondence relating to graduation will be sent to your BPCC email account.

How do I withdraw my Application for Graduation if I decide I do not want to graduate?

Contact the Director of Academic Planning at cadams@bpcc.edu or 318-678-6244 to withdraw your Application for Graduation.

Where does graduation take place?

The graduation ceremony occurs on BPCC’s campus in the Health and Physical Education Complex. Parking is free, and there are no tickets required for entrance.

Who can participate in the graduation ceremony?

Any candidate who is receiving an academic credential, including a certificate, technical diploma, and/or an associate degree may participate in the ceremony.

Where can I purchase the cap, gown, and tassel for graduation?

All graduates must wear graduation regalia, which include cap, gown, and tassel. Graduates can purchase regalia in BPCC’s Bookstore for $50. Contact the Bookstore at (318) 678-6009 for information regarding the purchase of your regalia.

Is there a rehearsal prior to the graduation ceremony?

There is no rehearsal prior to the ceremony. However, graduates are required to arrive at the Health and Physical Education Complex at least one hour before the ceremony begins. Upon arrival, staff members will be available to direct graduates to the sign-in and line-up areas.

Where do I keep personal items during the graduation ceremony?

You are not allowed to carry personal items such as cell phones, purses, clothes hangers, etc. with you once the ceremony begins. You are encouraged to leave those items with a friend, family member, or in a locked vehicle. The College is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

When will I receive my diploma?

Graduates will pick up diplomas in the designated area immediately after the ceremony ends. If you are unable to attend graduation, you may pick up your diploma in Building A, Room 217, beginning on the Monday after the graduation ceremony. If you live outside of the surrounding area and want your diploma mailed, you may contact the Director of Academic Planning at cadams@bpcc.edu.

May I earn more than one credential at BPCC?
